Hi,,,,,India has defeated Papua New Guinea in its first match of its u-19 world cup tournament very comfartably,,,,,,,it was a thumping win for india

India won the match by a large margin of 196........the Papua New Guinea side lasted only for 28 overs,,,,the indians were all over them...The Papua New Guineans lacked basic application......they threw there wickets away needlessly goin for big shots,,,,where it was expected for them to just stay in the crease.......most of the players were bowled r had been leg before wicket......................

A Amini was the top scorer of the side....while the extras were the second highest scorer......which adds to the embarrassment of the battin team ,,,,,

On the other hand The indians had a very good day at the office with both bat and ball.......Everybody contributed to the team's sucess,,,,,the top scorer for the side was ,,,,,,,,,, TM srivatsava with 83 ,,,he was the man of the match for his score,,,,,Goswami also made a half century.....among the bowlers everyone contributed ...

BILLA Ajith car-2008 MERCEDES-BENZ CL63 AMG AND S63 AMG

The high-and-mighty car market is small, and Mercedes intends to exploit every possible scrap, a strategy reinforced by the introduction of the AMG editions of the company’s range-topping CL-class coupe and S-class sedan. Like other offerings from the Mercedes in-house tuning shop, the CL63 and S63 add an extra measure of sporty character to a pair of cars that already rank among the best in the business.

Unlike other AMG specials, though, the key difference isn’t a matter of extra muscle. There’s certainly plenty of that—518 horsepower, 465 pound-feet of torque, thanks to a new 6.2-liter V-8, an engine designed, developed, and produced in-house by AMG.

But the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-12 of the CL600 and S600 almost matches the horsepower of the V-8, trumps its torque with a prodigious 612 pound-feet, and likely beats the straight-ahead hustle of the CL63 and S63 by a small margin, even though Mercedes estimates a 0-to-60-mph time of 4.5 seconds for all of them.

That’s pretty quick for cars weighing well over two tons.

But what sets these AMG editions apart is a level of athleticism and nifty footwork that’s absent in their more mainstream counterparts. This shows up in a near-total absence of body roll in hard cornering, and quicker responses in a series of linked turns—mountain switchbacks, for example. AMG achieved this partly by employing harder suspension bushings, a time-honored tuning trick, but mostly by retuning the computer-controlled profile of the ABC active suspension system, which is pure 21st century.

Sticky Yokohama tires lend extra grip and high-speed stability, oversize brakes exploit the added adhesion, and AMG-specific bucket seats lend a much higher level of lateral support.

But the most instantly tangible element in the AMG editions is steering that clearly communicates with the driver, a striking contrast with the lifeless helms of the other CL- and S-class offerings.

With most Mercedes-Benz models, the AMG massage makes the subject vehicle the most expensive member of a particular model line. And that’s still true for the 604-hp CL65 and S65 AMG versions which cost almost $200,000.

But these second AMG offerings in the CL- and S-class replace the old supercharged CL55 and S55 and maintain their relative price positioning below the CL600 and S600. Those prices are expected to start at about $130,000 for the CL63 and $126,000 for the S63 when they go on sale in June. Does that sound like a lot of money? Maybe. But it’s less than the CL600 and S600. Bargains sometimes come in very fancy package

latest information regarding IPL......

Here is the latest news regarding much talked about IPL(Indian premiere league) ,,,,the hot news s that selection of coaches for the various teams is first i the agenda...............................

The main news surrounding the Indian Premier League (IPL) concerns the players' auction in Mumbai next week, and the contracts tangle with Cricket Australia, but there is hectic activity at another level - team owners have begun to zero in some of the game's best- known coaching names.

Tom Moody, the former Sri Lanka coach, Greg Chappell, the former India coach, and Victoria's Greg Shipperd top the list of those on the verge of tying up with various IPL teams, Cricinfo has learned.

John Buchanan is the other big name in the mix though the former World-Cup winning Australian coach has clarified that he would sign up with one of the eight teams only if he is able to utilise his "skills of building something unique, special and sustainable in the long-term".

Chappell currently heads a private academy in Rajasthan, run by Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, and he has been sounded out by the Jaipur franchise, owned by Investors In Cricket, a media group. And Moody, it is learnt, is expected to take a call on Friday on an offer from the Mohali franchise, owned by an Indian business consortium including Bollywood actor Preity Zinta.

Shipperd, who steered Victoria to victory in the Pura Cup in 2003-04 and to the final in 2005-06, has been linked to the Delhi team owned by construction major GMR, said sources in the franchise.

India's current coaching staff is also in the fray, with fielding coach Robin Singh almost certain to sign up with the Chennai franchise owned by India Cements. And Venkatesh Prasad, the bowling coach, has emerged as a strong candidate for the Bangalore team owned by Indian liquor baron Vijay Mallya, said sources.

Both Bangalore and Mumbai, owned by petrochemical major Reliance Industries, are also believed to be very keen on Buchanan playing a significant role. But a representative from the Bangalore franchise refused to confirm any move in this direction.

List of sucessful batsman against murali

Australia - and India and England, to a lesser extent - have found a much better blend of attack and caution against him. Australia have the lowest dot-ball percent, and a lower boundary percent than West Indies, Zimbabwe and India, indicating that they have adopted a relatively risk-free approach and yet managed to score at a reasonable rate.

Among Australian batsmen, Ricky Ponting best exemplifies that approach: in 220 deliveries that he has faced from Murali in ODIs since 2002, he has allowed just 99 dot-balls, worked 87 singles, 15 twos, seven threes, 11 fours, and a six, which means just 50 of his 188 runs have been scored in boundaries. Sachin Tendulkar hasn't been dismissed in the 82 balls he has faced from Murali during this period, but he has relied more on boundaries to get his runs, with six fours and a six among the 69 runs he has scored off him.

The batsman who has impressed most against Murali in the CB Series has been Gautam Gambhir: in 39 balls he has scored 42 runs, but only 16 of them came in boundaries. Overall, Gambhir has scored 53 at a run a ball, with a superb dot-ball percentage of just 43%.

The top batsmen against Murali in ODIs since Jan 2002

BLACK HOLES---LATEST INFORMATION

Cosmic flares shot from exploding black holes could provide long-sought proof of extra spatial dimensions, new calculations suggest.

Theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking predicted that black holes evaporate through a quantum process known as "Hawking evaporation" and can explode in brief bursts of energy before vanishing completely.

Only mini-black holes roughly as massive as an asteroid or smaller would be able to evaporate completely within the lifetime of the universe. And such tiny black holes may have been created in large numbers within 1 second of the big bang, as elementary particles clumped together at extreme energies.

Now, researchers led by Michael Kavic of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, US, say the evaporation of such "primordial" black holes could emit detectable radiation – if the universe contains additional dimensions beyond the familiar three of space and one of time. Such extra dimensions are predicted in some theories that try to unify gravity and quantum mechanics, such as string theory.

In the presence of extra dimensions, black holes would wrap around these extra dimensions to form "black strings." "You can envision this as a rubber band wrapped around a fire hose," Kavic told New Scientist. "As the black hole evaporates, it eventually becomes too small to wrap the extra dimension."

APPU ARMY LAUNCHED.........

Do u know wats this appu army????

Now here is the answer ,,if there is one Barmy army for England cricketers...then here s the appu army which ll be cheering its srilankan cricket heroes ,,,,,

Here u could see a poster displaying the launch of the appu army....there were buzzing wit their music.... Their red coloured T-shirts made them stand out and were joined by their friends in hay-coloured sombrero-hats.

They kept playing the distinctive bayla tune that lets you know the Sri Lankans are around. The Appu Army was in full swing and lent a carnival-like atmosphere as they marched up and down the main drag behind the Don Bradman stand inside the ground. The horns and the whistles kept blowing, so did the conch shells and the hand bells. So festive was the atmosphere that it was difficult for the Indians not to soak it in.

sachin tendulkar-the mentor

Sachin Tendulkar has now turned into a mentor for a young indian side. Sachin Tendulkar has always relished being a mentor to upcoming players but during the current One-Day International triangular series in Australia he has to shoulder that burden to a greater degree in the absence of Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid.

Though Sachin may be shortest of all the Indian players but he towers above with the sheer weight of his stature.

Even as Indian cricket undertakes the bumpy road to transition, Tendulkar stands out as the bridge that leads to the future. For a team whose average age is just 23, it's just ideal that they have Tendulkar as their cornerstone.

"The experience of Sachin is very vital for the team and he is sharing it with the younger lot," India’s assistant coach Lalchand Rajput says.

E Sreedharan CNN-IBN Indian of the year-2007

The verdict is out and the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year for 2007 is E Sreedharan.

Metro Man Sreedharan, who was also the winner in the Public Service category, was chosen for achieving the near-impossible, for breaking through bureaucratic red tape and defying the naysayers of modern infrastructure-building to build the Delhi Metro.

The 76-year-old Sreedharan is the Managing Director of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, its builder and executor. The Delhi Metro has proved to be a Godsend for the city as every morning, over six lakh Delhiites today use the network to commute to work.

Sreedharan faced numerous challenges. Bureaucratic red tape tried to delay his work. Contractors would not meet commitments. Corruption threatened to slow him down.

But the unassuming railway engineer never lost hope and never stopped believing in his project, which changed the face of urban transport in India.

With 56 kilometres of the network on track and only two more phases left to be completed, the $2 billion project is running ahead of time and strictly within budget.

In just two more years, the high-speed train will be accessible to every resident of Delhi.
